Rhassoul Clay Powder

Rassoul or Ghassoul is a natural clay powder that can only be found in the deposits of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. The word Rassoul derives from Arabic, meaning “stone that washes.” It has purifying, detoxifying, astringent and cleansing properties and has been used by the Berber population for centuries as a treatment for the skin and hair in Hammam rituals.

Rassoul utilizes a physical process in its action; it is gentle to the lipid protective film of skin and hair and it does not irritate the sebaceous glands. Mixed with water or oil, its small particles swell to create a thick mixture able to absorb the impurities and grease that are later eliminated through rinsing.

This clay is particularly suitable for blemished skin, seborrheic dermatitis, acne, spots, folliculitis caused by hair removal treatments and other exudative forms of the skin and scalp.

Its trace elements, such as ions of silicon and magnesium, sodium ions, potassium, calcium, iron and aluminum oxides, make this clay a remineralizing treatment with a revitalizing effect on the skin.

Being 100% natural, it is an ecological treatment: it will not be difficult for the environment to eliminate it because this clay is a mineral.

How to use and store:

Mix clay with water and/or Argan oil to activate it. Apply a thin layer to the skin or hairs and leave it for 10 minutes; remove it with a wet sponge.

External use. Avoid leaving products open and unused for long periods. Store cosmetics in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Any slight variation in colour is an indication of the naturalness of the ingredients and does not alter the quality of the product in any way.
